Claas Thesing receives Schöneborn Award for outstanding Bachelor thesis
Claas Thesing has received the Schöneborn Award for his outstanding Bachelor thesis under supervision from Friedrich Solowjow and Sebastian Trimpe on "Generalisation of a Kernel Two-Sample Test for Dynamical Systems" from the Department of Computer Science and proRWTH e.V. The Schöneborn Award is presented annually by proRWTH for excellent performance in the Bachelor's examination in the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Natural Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
The award is based on a legacy from mathematics professor Dr. Heinz Schöneborn, who taught at RWTH Aachen University from 1964 to 1987 and was a committed member of the proRWTH association. During his lifetime, he was already very committed to his students and young academics. With his donation, he made this award possible, which has been presented since 2004.
