I'm a PhD student in the Institute of Data Science in Mechanical Engineering (DSME) at RWTH Aachen, where I'm supervised by Prof. Dr. Sebastian Trimpe.

Before joining the DSME as a PhD student, I worked three years at the IMA as a scientific researcher in industrial applications of AI. Prior to the RWTH, I worked for four years in the development of IOT and ML solutions for the agroindustry in Latinamerica.

I completed a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronic Engineering at the EIA University (Colombia) and a Master's degree in Engineering at Arts et Métiers ParisTech (France).

My research interests lie in the fields of explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) and applied AI. I am interested in the internal representations learned by neural networks and how these representations relate to human-understandable concepts. More specifically, I'm interested in methods for concept extraction and active learning and their usage in industrial applications.
