Since June 2023 I have been a PhD student at the Institute for Data Science in Mechanical Engineering under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sebastian Trimpe. I am also affiliated with the Helmholtz Graduate School HDS-LEE. Previously, I completed a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with a specialization in automotive engineering and subsequently a master’s degree in automation engineering at RWTH Aachen University. During my master’s I spent a semester at the Politecnico di Torino in Italy.
My research interest lies in investigating the usability and safety aspects of machine learning methods in real-life applications. I am especially interested in safety during the learning process to bridge the gap between theory and practical implementation of machine learning in control problems with strict safety requirements, for example in automotive control.
